The global campaign in support of Iranian opposition supporters and for the restoration of human rights in the country countinues.
The international pressure on Iran has largely come from the people rather than politicians, who have been reserved in their criticism of Iran. Many world leaders fear that comments could inflame the Iranian government and lead to further allegations of a Western-led plot, damaging the opposition campaign.
Along with several demonsrations, candlelit vigils, minutes of silence and 'freeze flashmobs', several Nobel laureates declared their support to the Iranian people in an open letter.
